Showroom, 5G, experimentation, laboratory… What exactly is the centre you have opened in Urretxu?
We are creating a hub for what we believe will be Logistics 5.0, an ecosystem that integrates autonomous mobile robotics solutions as well as advanced data mining technology. This set of solutions is interconnected through our proprietary warehouse management software, to which our end-to-end monitoring and data mining technology is integrated. All this is framed in a digital space where advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, iIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and the power of 5G technology converge. These technological innovations are part of our portfolio, offering companies a complete and cutting-edge solution.
The deployment of 5G has enabled us to incorporate image- and voice-based biometric identification technologies for user registration control and access validation, adding an additional layer, with verification at vehicle entry using number plates. It also facilitates asset tracking and the detection of unauthorized persons in the work environment, while improving the security of personnel in hazardous or restricted areas.
This solution also contributes to improving the efficiency of logistics processes as a whole. Another important aspect is the cyber security that ensures the protection of our valuable customers’ data and information.

That’s right. We are convinced that the key to the success of the robotic warehouse is not in the robot, but in the good design of the robot and the brain that manages it. Robots, piloted by a brain, communicate with each other, self-correct behaviours and add knowledge that will be transmitted to other robots so that they can correct their activities autonomously and correctively.
In this sense, both our software and data mining technology act as a brain and provide intelligence to the entire supply chain. This allows the system to learn from the operation of all assets and automated processes, generating models to propose improvements, schedule maintenance, adapt behaviour in real time or recommend new configurations and predict new scenarios.

One of the most significant benefits would be the capacity to have levels of availability close to 100%, allowing uninterrupted operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This improvement in availability contributes to the optimization of competitive variables such as price, cost and time simultaneously.
In addition, these solutions offer flexibility and scalability. They decouple the need for growth in operational speed from the need to increase storage capacity. It is possible to start with a small storage capacity and gradually expand as larger storage capacities and rates are needed. Efficiency, speed and productivity also benefit. By optimizing storage density, up to four times more space can be achieved compared to conventional options.
