Sodeca faces critical challenges in streamlining the production process for small materials, efficient component storage and managing limited space in its industrial facilities.
Solution
Smartlog will provide the 425 mm bin AutoStore system with R5+ robots. This robotic system, based on bin storage, enables the efficient handling of picking tasks for a variety of products, including those with fast and slow movements, high order volume and high storage density needs. The R5+ robots are based on the iconic R5 technology, but have extra capacity to handle bin sizes, in this case 425mm, ensuring fast and reliable service, highlighting Sodeca’s dedication to operational excellence.
The implementation of Smartlog’s AutoStore system will not only streamline the production process, but also maximize the use of space at the Ripoll (Girona) facility. Vertical bin organization and process automation frees up valuable space for other operations. The ability to store all the components needed for the production process will be significantly improved, facilitating the management of production orders and reducing search times.
