Smartpallet: smart flexibility in pallet storage

This multi-directional AS/RS pallet storage and retrieval system is designed for efficient pallet storage, handling and order preparation. It revolutionizes the traditional shuttle concept to offer smart storage retrieval.

The pioneering design of Smartpallet allows movements in all directions and travel between levels, giving the flexibility of moving any pallet to any storage space in the system. Smartpallet is capable of moving loads of up to 1,500 kg. Picking stations and tunnels are installed for order preparation so that products can be retrieved safely, avoiding the need to take out the whole pallet.

Smartpallet organizes and optimizes the warehouse automatically, integrating with the customer’s ERP systems and processing lines to handle pallets without any manual intervention. This AS/RS system helps to increase storage density, allowing the construction of warehouses up to 30 meters high. This can add up to 60% more space for pallets in comparison with traditional storage solutions in the same floor space. It also offers the possibility of cutting general costs related to storage by reducing heat loss, labor costs and general expenses.

Advantages of Smartpallet

🔀 Multi-directional

⚖️ High-density storage (up to 55% more than in a traditional system)

💰 Reduced operating costs (operational downtime, labor, damage to products, etc.)

Flexible. Adapts easily to the warehouse structure without major structural alterations

✏️ Scalable. You can add more taxis as the business grows

Faster order processing

📈 Boosting efficiency and productivity

🍃 Sustainable. It reduces your carbon footprint and energy consumption, make better use of space and cuts the risk of accidents

Stacker cranes

Transelevadores de un único pasillo

These ensure high speeds for efficient storage and retrieval at peak times. Their main advantages are gains in space, flexibility, ergonomics, safety and time, as they perform “good to person” picking, i.e. it is not the person but the machine that goes to fetch the product.

All the modules can be combined with one another to allow for graduated configurations. Like this it is possible to operate an automated high-level warehouse reliably and economically and adapt to increased productivity or refitting of existing warehouses. At Smartlog we install different types of stacker cranes for each job and need, whether single-aisle, multi-depth or whatever.

Some of them access all storage aisles using machines guided by rails, directly, quickly and safely. These systems shorten access times in any warehouse system.
