The operation combines higher-volume B2B orders with the introduction of new brands and an online channel that requires faster and more flexible fulfillment.
Logistics challenges
The initiative addresses four logistical challenges: incresing productivity and operational capacitym reducing manual tasks, improving accuracy in order fulfilment, and shortening delivery times.
Solution
Smartlog has designed the solution based on an analysis of the different flows, storage requirements and expected business growth. The solution will integrate an AutoStore system to centralize storage capacity within a compact footprint with strong operational productivity.
Order fulfilment will be carried out through CarouselPort workstations and an interconnected Double VersaPort. The two VersaPort stations will operate in coordination to maintain a continuous flow of bins during goods recept and restocking, allowing tasks to alternate smoothly, reducing waiting times and providing greater fkexibility in day-to-day operations. This configuration is particularly well suited to processes that require agile and consistent workflows. The solution will also incorporate pick-to-light system to guide operators during order fulfilment and improve picking accuracy.
The entire system will be connected to Galys, Smartlog’s intralogistics software, which will centralize operational management and provide real-time visibility of the system. This integration will support inventory control, traceability and the coordination of automated processes.
