Logistic challenges
The company faced the challenge of improving productivity in single unit picking while maintaining data quality at optimal levels. In addition, there was a clear need to reduce costs per unit shipped and reduce the operational space dedicated to these tasks, all without compromising efficiency and with the support of reliable and continuous maintenance.
In addition, it was essential to ensure the reliability of the systems, operating 24/6, to meet the high demand of its more than 500 warehouses.
Solution
Smartlog implemented a customized solution based on its Smartlift and Smartrot vertical storage systems, combined with order picking tables and Flow rack shelving, all focused on the automation and optimization of the picking process. These systems were strategically distributed in the Medellin and Bogota distribution centers.
The collaboration with Smartlog has been a fundamental step in our innovation strategy. The Smartrot and Smartlift systems have transformed our operational capacity, and have significantly improved the efficiency of our processes.
